A Courage-building Programme

A Courage-building Programme

13 – 15 November 2019

Dr. Brené Brown is waking up the world with her research on growing brave leaders and more courageous cultures. Her research shows that a daring leader is someone who cultivates a culture in which brave work, tough conversations, and whole hearts are the expectation.

We’re excited to bring you the Dare To Lead™ - an experiential workshop, co-facilitated by Caryn Conidaris and Aneshrie Yasar, based on Brené’s research and her New York Times #1 Bestseller. The goal of Dare to Lead™ is to share everything Dr Brown has learned about taking off the armour and showing up as daring leaders in a skills-based and actionable workshop and playbook.

The skill sets that make up courage are not new; they’ve been aspirational leadership skills for as long as there have been leaders. We just haven’t had the courage for real talk about courage. But it’s time.

This two and a half day workshop, is your invitation to become a braver leader as you learn the four empirically-proven skills sets of courageous leadership that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

Who should attend?

Anyone pursuing wholehearted leadership in their organization, career, business, in their personal life, in their professional development, in a classroom, in an entrepreneurial adventure.

From new managers and supervisors who are crafting their leadership identity, to seasoned executives who are willing to challenge themselves towards a different way of being; educators who want to create safer, unarmoured spaces to learn; to coaches, HR professionals and OD practitioners who support the critical work culture, leadership and team development – across every industry and business structure. There is something here for you.

About The Dare To Lead Program

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.

Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership. She is the author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, which also debuted at #1 on The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly lists.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

Individuals who successfully complete the full 16-hour Dare to Lead program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put a Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.
